# Pencil Code Intro

Sample  code and assignments taken directly from the open source teachers manual

Programming languages communicate instructions to a computer in a language that can be understood by BOTH Humans and Computers 

Programming Basics: Code Executes from the top to the bottom and the computer will do EXACTLY what you have told it to do.

We will start off programming in the IDE PencilCode in coffescript
