# Designing your Lighthouse Signal

Now it is time to combine the LightSensor & the LED Code to program your actual lighthouse signal

* [ ] One unique "short burst" signal that involves flashing lights that is **less than** 10 seconds in total length
* [ ] When it is dark outside your led should shine to help passing ships navigate but should occasionally flash your unique signal to allow captains to identify the ship
* [ ] When it is light outside, your led should be off but should flash your unique signal to allow capitals to identify the ship (this should happen more frequently than it does in the night but should not be "constantly" flashing)

**TIP**: the A & B buttons of your micro bit should not be part of your algorithm here-the lights should be controlled by the ambient light and the internal clock
