Gees Bend Quilt Collage

Your assignment today is to turn a blank 5 x 7 notecard into a quilt design or template. You can directly copy an existing Gee's Bend Quilt Pattern OR be inpsired to make your own pattern. Notice that while the quilters repeat shapes, their size and placement are not uniform across the quilt.

I suggest sketching out your quilt pattern on the card in pencil and then filling it in with color.

Make sure your card is turned "longways" so that it is taller than it is wide

You MUST pick ONE of these color combinations (and only one) to use in your design. For each color, please pick one shade and stick to it.

• Black, White and Red

• Blue, White and Yellow

• Red, Blue and White

• Green, Red, Blue and White

• Yellow, Black, Blue and White

• Pink or Purple, Green, Blue

• Brown, Red, Yellow, White

Put your name on the BACK of your index card and turn it in before class ends.
