For this problem - you need to draw a diagram to solve the problem. The top half of your page should be the diagram and the bottom have of the page should be numbered sentences that explain your drawing, in the order you drew it.

Do NOT erase anything - just mark through it and then explain your mistake in your sentences and move on.

A ladybug is at the bottom of a 10 foot vine. Every morning, it crawls up 2.5 feet but at night it slips down 1 foot. How many days does it take the ladybug to get to the top of the vine?
